For the stem cell tranplantation of cord blood, first the cord blood is collected at the time of birth, then the stem cells are isolated and are preserved at -196°C. During stem cell transplantation chemotherapy is provided for destroying the cells. Then the stem cells are infused that takes some time to cure completely.
